Asian Dream. Le Méridien Phuket Beach Resort
Holidays in Thailand were the continuation of our trip to Asia in 2012, when we visited Hong Kong and Thailand.
In the spring, we have an additional charge of energy. In April I always feel that I need to change the picture and climate. This may seem strange: in Italy, April and May are one of the most beautiful and pleasant months, but after winter the body requires vitamins, sand and sun.
As often happens, we planned the route based on the working trips of the head of our family. My expectations were not very big. I was always surprised when I saw couples with babies at airports waiting for a flight to Asia. I, like many, had certain associations with this part of the world - a humid climate, lack of hygiene, tropics, unusual smells and food.
Subsequently, I began to understand well the young parents who are flying to Asia on vacation. It is a paradise. Rest during which you can forget about everything.
I already understood the rest formula that suits us: comfortable, original and, please, in the reserve. By the last paragraph, I mean the presence of a beautiful and clear sea or ocean, wildlife. The hotel can be located in the city, we are not against megacities, but for a real rest and reboot you need an oasis of peace and quiet, where you can escape from the city.
We’d chose Le Méridien Phuket Beach Resort based on the principle I mentioned above. The bustling Patong is located nearby. This was our first trip to Asia with children and we preferred the hotel convenient for visiting the city and for relaxing. As it turned out, the decision was right: our own beautiful beach, massage rooms, an excellent fitness room and spa, a beautiful playroom, which the children went to with enthusiasm, all this provided us with a wonderful vacation. The road to the city and other beaches took 10-15 minutes. I remember very well our driver, whose name was Oscar. Will rest in this hotel - say hello to him. Children still remember his hospitality.
To begin with, the New Year was celebrated on the day of our arrival in Thailand. This means you will be doused with water or fired from a water pistol from head to toe. Passing along the main street of Patong by taxi from the airport, I remember, I still doubted the correctness of our choice.
Our route was as follows: Milan - Dubai (change) - Hong Kong, Hong Kong - Phuket, Phuket - Dubai (change) - Milan. Do you know these commercials on airplanes that represent the country from the very best? We flew Emirates. We flew, watched videos with luxury hotels, great food, magical Arabian hospitality, and thought about one thing: why did we choose Phuket and not Dubai for the second part of the trip? Then we still did not know that in the United Arab Emirates we were destined to spend vacations in the spring of 2015 and 2017, and that the head of our family would fly there more than once a month. We feared Asia in vain.
My confidence that loving children more than Italians is impossible was scattered when we saw how Thais communicate with children.
- Valentaaaaaaaain, Valentineaaaaaaaain!
This exclamation instantly gathered all the children of the hotel. Twice a day at Le Méridien Phuket Beach Resort lead a Valentine's walk. Valentine loves to kiss with a rough trunk, swim and eat bananas.
The hotel offers a lot of entertainment for every taste. From morning runs to trainings in the gym, motor boats and beach games.
The hotel has many restaurants. Questions about how to feed children have never arisen. Of course, we did not pass Italian Portofino restaurant. We talked with the chef, the Italian, of course, and thanked for the freshness of burrata, which we hardly find in our Cremona.
The most delicious food that children preferred in the morning, afternoon and evening is watermelon and mango fresh. Thailand is a true fruit paradise.
Without another mention, the description of this hotel would be incomplete. Holidays and events. Beautiful, spectacular, vibrant and comfortable. We released tiny turtles into the water, performed traditional dances, released hundreds of air lanterns into the sky, and saw a noisy carnival.
